Locadapt offers various plans to suit different needs, each with its own quota for translated words and translation requests. Here’s how it works:

Plan Quotas

  • Free: 2,000 translated words and 10,000 translation requests per month
  • Starter: 250,000 translated words and 250,000 translation requests per month
  • Professional: 1,000,000 translated words and 1,000,000 translation requests per month
  • Enterprise: Custom quotas based on your needs

The Professional plan offers the best value for growing businesses. Need more? You can easily upgrade to an Enterprise plan for custom quotas.

Additional Benefits of Higher-Tier Plans

While quota is a key factor, higher-tier plans offer additional benefits:

  • Starter: Unlimited domains, email support within 24 hours, proxied subdomains for guaranteed SEO
  • Professional: Twenty languages, three projects, unlimited shareable access, auto-detect visitor language
  • Enterprise: Up to infinite projects, unlimited languages, featured on Locadapt (limited), 12-hour Zoom response time, and custom features as needed

These additional features can significantly enhance your localization workflow and team collaboration.

Quota Refresh

Your quota refreshes monthly. On your dashboard, you can view your current usage for both words and requests, as well as the date of your next quota refresh.

Shared Quota Across Projects

For paid plans (Starter, Professional, and Enterprise), your quota is shared across all your projects. This gives you the flexibility to allocate your resources as needed.

Monitoring Your Usage

Dashboard

Your Locadapt dashboard provides a real-time view of your quota usage. You can track:

  • Total translated words this period (month)
  • Total translation requests this period (month)
  • Percentage of quota used
  • Time until next quota refresh

Usage Alerts

To help you manage your quota effectively, Locadapt will send you alerts when you reach certain usage thresholds:

  • 80% of your monthly quota (for either words or requests)
  • 100% of your monthly quota (for either words or requests)

These alerts ensure you’re never caught off guard by unexpected usage spikes.

Upgrading Your Plan

If you find yourself consistently approaching your quota limits, it might be time to upgrade your plan. You can easily do this from your Locadapt dashboard:

  1. Go to app.locadapt.com/billing
  2. Choose your new plan
  3. Confirm the upgrade

Your account will be upgraded immediately, and you’ll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle.

Important Notes on Usage

  • Even after deleting words or removing languages, your usage for requests and translations will still be counted towards your quota. This is because these operations have already utilized our AI and infrastructure resources.
  • Unused quota does not roll over to the next month. Each month starts fresh with your full quota available.

Language Limit for Subdomain Routing

Due to financial reasons, there is a quota on the total number of languages across all your projects that use subdomain routing:

  • Starter plan: 50 languages
  • Professional plan: 200 languages

This limit is shared across all your projects that use subdomain routing. For example, if you have 2 projects using subdomain routing, each with 25 languages, your total usage would be 50 languages.

Important notes:

  • This limit applies only to projects using subdomain-style routing. Other routing types are not affected.
  • The limit is shared across all your projects using subdomain routing.
  • Each project can only have one primary domain when using subdomain routing.

If you approach this limit, you’ll be warned on the configuration page after trying to add more languages. The reason we restrict this is due to how we are billed by our cloud infrastructure provider for adding new hostnames (like fr.yourproject.com) — each one costs us an ongoing monthly fee.
